RED ALERT TERMITE TREATED BEARERS AND JOISTS

We stock bearers and joists that are H2 termite treated. They are suitable for use above brick or steel piers. It is a new product in replacement of hardwood bearers and joists. 

We stock the bearers in 100 x 75 LVL H2 termispan and are suitable at 1800 mm centres and can be ordered up to 12 metres in length. 

We stock the Joists in 100 x 45 LVL H2 termispan and are suitable at 450 mm centres and can be ordered up to 12 metres in length.

SmartLam GL17

SmartLam GL17 Glulam beams are engineered timber products with high strength, dimensional stability, great load carrying capacity, superior fire resistance, and are manufactured from select quality Pine timber.

All timber used for laminating is carefully selected from production and graded according to specification. After trimming to the desired size, all stock is kiln dried to 12% average moisture content, to ensure efficient bonding in the gluing operations.

The laminations are finger jointed by machine, with glue being cured by cold press system and controlled temperature. SmartLam GL17 are available in A, B & C appearance Grades and are pre-cambered to a radius of 600 metres. Un-cambered SmartLam GL17 beams are available to order.

BENEFITS OF SmartLam GL17 COST EFFECTIVENESS - SmartLam GL17 beams high strength to weight ratio allows you to design for maximum loads over large spans with the smallest possible end sections.

PRODUCT QUALITY - All SmartLam GL17 beams are manufactured in accordance with AS 1328 Glue Laminated Structural Timber and the Glued Laminated Timber Association (GLTAA) Industry standard GLTAA-4-91.

SmartForm

We supply SmartForm 11.7 LVL which is a Douglas Fir structural laminated veneer lumber (LVL), manufactured by Pacific Woodtech Corporation Washington State USA, to meet the requirements of AS/NZS 4357 - Structural Laminated Veneer Lumber.

It is produced in industry standard sizes, painted safety yellow for easy visual identification, and is intended for use as concrete formwork support structures such as joists, bearers, walers and soldiers.

We order packs of various sizes and lengths. The sizes supplied are:

95 x 45           95 x 65

130 x 75         150 x 75

Marking

Each piece of SmartForm 11.7 is branded at least once with the SmartForm branding, compliant with AS/NZS 4357 structural LVL standard for identification and evidence of compliance with manufacturing control standards and product quality certification.

It is also sealed with a water resistant yellow coating to increase its durability, providing the user with extended lifecycles and superior performance.

Our Design Guide and load tables assist in the selection of SmartForm 11.7 formwork materials in standard applications. All load tables in this document are developed using in-grade tested characteristic properties of SmartForm 11.7 as distributed by Tilling Timber. Other look-alike substitution LVL formwork products manufactured by different producers may have different properties, and their specification from these tables may create an unsafe support system or unsatisfactory performance.

Our publication is therefore strictly limited to the design of joists and bearers in common formwork applications. Reference should be made to AS 3610-1995 plus supplements 1 and 2 and an experienced structural engineer for methods and details of developing lateral restraint, providing suitable vertical support to joists and bearers in the above tables as well as the robustness and stability of the formwork system as a whole.

The cross lamination of the layered veneers provides a protective mechanism, preventing an active capillary effect on the inside wall reducing the effects of cupping.

MEYJOIST H2 

meyJOIST is an engineered timber I-Joist supplied by Meyer
Timber® primarily used for floor and roof applications.

Available in long lengths, they are lightweight, easy to
install and have generous web hole allowances for wiring,
plumbing, and air conditioning ducting.
